10-Day Notice

Video transcript:

“And as you know, 10 business days before the start of the school year, we send our 10-day notices. That’s putting your school district on notice that they have failed to provide your child with appropriate public education and you will be placing your child in a private school, program or private services. We must, under the statute, give the school district 10 business days notice.

And what we need to know from you right now is whether or not you’ve had an IEP meeting for the 2021-2022 school year. If you’ve received an IEP, if you’ve received a school placement, a school location letter, a prior written notice, all of that information is really very important for us to have so that we know what to tell your school district.

If you are sending your child to a private school, we need to know the name of the private school and its address. And are you looking for any outside services, for example, tutoring, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, counseling, ABA, anything, anything that you are seeking funding for during the school day and after the school day?

Let your attorney know as soon as possible, please”.
